{"id":660,"date":"2017-02-01T08:50:02","date_gmt":"2017-02-01T08:50:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aaronparsekian.com\/?p=660"},"modified":"2017-02-01T14:37:33","modified_gmt":"2017-02-01T14:37:33","slug":"tangible-interaction-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.aaronparsekian.com\/?p=660","title":{"rendered":"Tangible Interaction Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week we designed an interface for the flash game lunar lander:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.atari.com\/arcade#!\/arcade\/lunarlander\/play\">https:\/\/www.atari.com\/arcade#!\/arcade\/lunarlander\/play<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I decided to use a joystick I had found on a trashed analog video switcher (think star wipes and word art titles of the 90&#8217;s). The joystick has a shuttle wheel mounted on its stem, which seemed great for rotating the spaceship. It also has a little button on top of the shuttle wheel that I figured would be great for the escape key (spacebar).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aaronparsekian.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_5580-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-666\" src=\"http:\/\/www.aaronparsekian.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_5580-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"3264\" height=\"2448\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.aaronparsekian.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_5580-1.jpg 3264w, http:\/\/www.aaronparsekian.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_5580-1-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.aaronparsekian.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_5580-1-768x576.jpg 768w, http:\/\/www.aaronparsekian.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/IMG_5580-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 3264px) 100vw, 3264px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The joystick is made by CH Products in America.\u00a0It turns out they make some amazing joysticks!
